WhyPark Review – Should I Park My Domain Names With WhyPark.com, an Honest Opinion!
In this post I give you an honest review of WhyPark.com and why I have found it to be hands down the best option for making extra dollars from your unused domain names.
Every couple of years we seem to get hit with a new “domain name gold rush”. I remember many years ago when I was just starting out on the Internet, I got an email from Corey Rudl, one of the first true Internet Marketing gurus, announcing the “new” domain name gold rush that was about to hit the World Wide Web. At that time, ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers), the organization responsible for managing and controlling the use of domain names world-wide, had just announced that we could register very long domain names (i.e. 60+ characters).
Corey’s email advised us to register long, keyword-rich domains as a way of dominating our niche market. So … while everyone was getting ready for Christmas, I locked myself in my room, pulled out my already abused credit card and spent about $5,000 registering insane domain names such as …

I confess that I went nuts and got into a lot of trouble with my wife for spending money that we didn’t have. I promised her I would never do this again.
My promise lasted until the Google AdSense wave hit. Before I knew it, I had my battered old credit card out again, and was embarking in some serious new domain name registration adventures.
This time, however, I didn’t register ridiculously long domain names. I kept them tightly focused on specific niches that I wanted to build monetized blogs and profitable websites around.
Towards the end of 2006, Google began dumping sites that offered no value to visitors but were specifically designed to attract AdSense clicks. Many internet marketers refer to this event as the “Google Slap”.
As many of my sites began to disappear from Google’s index, I was left with about 200 domain names that were bringing me $0 and costing me about $9 a year in domain renewal fees.
Many of the domain names I owned were actually very good names, however, and so I was reluctant to let them go. Around this time, I also started building quality, content-rich websites for long-term profits. Building quality, authoritative sites, however, takes a long time.
So … what to do with all of the unused domain names I owned in the meantime?
Well, at first, I did nothing. I just let them sit there, costing me money.
Then I discovered the concept of domain name parking.
Because I own around 200 domains, I conducted the following experiment: I split my list of domains in half, set up 100 domains on WhyPark and the rest on Sedo. After 30 days of using both services (and getting about the same number of impressions for both services), I had made around $20 in AdSense profits with WhyPark and around 30 cents with Sedo. To me there was no doubt … WhyPark is by far the most profitable option available to park your unused domains.
